Unreal is a great engine for visualization and VR but there are headaches around getting AEC data into Unreal. This session shows a complete pipeline for getting data (including materials) from Rhino into Unreal.

I will be presenting a look at our in house Fabric Engine tools and how Fabric Engine has been used on various productions. These tools include the Entwiner, which creates woolen knits, instancing and scattering tools, as well as our KLProcedural system, which is an Arnold translator that enables render time generation for all our other tools.

Chus Rodriguez Nieto, Double Negative

At Double Negative, we use Fabric Engine to build a flexible rigging framework that can meet the demands of both VFX and Feature Animation. In this talk, I will describe how Fabric’s versatility lets us target the priorities of different users, allowing riggers to quickly prototype new rig behaviours, while giving animators up to 3x faster-than-Maya performance.
